[ARCHIVED] Loudoun to Hold Virtual Public Meeting on Route 15 North Widening Project October 29

Loudoun County is hosting an online meeting to gain input from the public on the Route 15 North widening from Battlefield Parkway to Montresor Road. The public information meeting will be held Thursday, October 29, 2020, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Members of the public are invited to join the virtual meeting to learn and ask questions about the project to widen Route 15 from two to four lanes between Battlefield Parkway and Montresor Road. 

Login information and meeting materials are available for review at loudoun.gov/route15northwidening and loudoun.gov/remoteparticipation. Meeting materials include detailed corridor diagrams, speaker sign-up information and a comment form. Members of the public must sign up in advance by 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020, to ask questions during the event. Online participants may also send questions to the project team as chat messages, which will be answered during the meeting as time allows.

The Route 15 North widening project includes the design, land acquisition, utility relocation and construction to widen Route 15 from two to four lanes between Battlefield Parkway and Montresor Road. The improvements will improve traffic operations, congestion and safety along this segment of the road. The project will include a phased approach. Phase I will incorporate the road widening between Battlefield Parkway and Whites Ferry Road. Phase II will incorporate the roadway widening between Whites Ferry Road and Montresor Road, the relocation of Limestone School Rad and construction of the roundabout at Montresor Road.
