The Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System (LC-CFRS) is pleased to announce that we have joined Instagram!
Instagram is a free social network that brings people together through the sharing of photos and videos. 71% of those between the ages of 18 and 29 use Instagram and it is the third most popular social media platform among all US adults, according to the Pew Research Center. Instagram will allow LC-CFRS to communicate and connect with the next generation in Loudoun County.
Followers will get a behind the scenes view of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System. You will be able to see LC-CFRS fire and rescue news and happenings, open houses, training activities, public education events, important safety messages and so much more by following LC-CFRS on Instagram.
“We see the tremendous value in Instagram as both an educational tool as well as a community engagement tool,” said Fire Chief Keith Johnson, “Instagram’s audience is primarily under the age of 35 and tends to be much more diverse than other social sites. This will help us to better communicate important safety messages and build relationships with younger more diverse groups in our community.”
