[ARCHIVED] Light Testing at Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park to Begin October 21

Link to information about the Hal and Bernie Hanson Regional Park Project

Loudoun County has scheduled daytime testing of lights at the site of the Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park beginning Thursday, October 21, 2021, weather permitting. Area residents will notice increased activity at the park prior to the testing date. The testing will begin during the daytime hours throughout each section of the park.

In November 2021, Loudoun County is scheduled to begin nighttime light testing at the 17 athletic fields. During the testing, lighting at the fields will be turned on and off and dimmed. The county will begin testing at dusk and will continue for several hours. Additional information about light level testing will be sent as updates on the project through the Notify Me feature of the Loudoun County website.

The light level testing is part of the ongoing project to construct the 257-acre park facility located on Evergreen Mills Road in Arcola, between the Brambleton and Willowsford communities. Construction on the facility is expected to be completed in spring 2022. For more information about the construction project, and to sign up for updates, visit loudoun.gov/hansonparkproject.
