[ARCHIVED] Loudoun Recognized for Excellence in Organizational Resilience

Loudoun County is the first county in the United States to earn the Gold Tier level of recognition in the “Best in Enterprise Resilience Certification” awards program. The designation recognizes the significant strengths of the Loudoun County government in deploying technologies and practices to maintain readiness and responsiveness and to build community resilience. 

The certification process involves a baseline assessment that provides organizations with an independent analysis of their strengths and opportunities for improvement and includes a benchmark analysis that compares the organization to others. 

Loudoun County was rated stronger than comparable organizations in areas that are key to critical event management, such as how the county effectively uses data and analytics, digital technologies, processes and communication and collaboration to manage critical events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic or natural disaster.

The strengths cited in the award designation include the: 

“We are pleased to be recognized for helping to build a resilient community in Loudoun County,” said Deputy Coordinator of Emergency Management Jeff Fletcher. “Through the certification process, we received valuable feedback and insights that will help us in our future strategic planning efforts.” 

The certification program is administered by Everbridge, a global software company that provides enterprise software applications for automating and accelerating an organizations’ operational response to critical events.
