At approximately 7:00 p,m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021, Loudoun County fire and rescue units from Sterling Park, Kincora, Cascades, Fairfax County, and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 300 block of Williamsburg Road in Sterling Park. Multiple callers reporting a large body of fire led to the dispatch of a Rapid Intervention Task Force bringing additional units from Sterling Park, Fairfax County, and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
The first arriving unit located a detached garage to the rear of a residence in the 300 block of Williamsburg Road fully involved in fire. Additionally, the fire extended to several vehicles and two boats located on the property. Due to the extent of fire in the building, a defensive attack was initiated. The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes. The main home was not damaged and there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
The Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office investigation is still ongoing. Fire damages are estimated at $167,064, which includes the detached garage and its contents.
