In recognition of Constitutional Officers Week and January as National Blood Donor Month, Loudoun County’s constitutional officers have partnered with Inova Blood Donor Services to sponsor a blood drive on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., outside the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison St. SE in Leesburg. The Inova Loudoun Bloodmobile will be located in the loading dock area off Loudoun Street, next to the Government Center’s parking garage.

Anyone who would like to schedule their life-saving appointment to donate blood may do so online or by calling 1-866-BLOODSAVES (1-866-256-6372). The sponsor code for this blood drive is 8666.

The Board of Supervisors is scheduled to recognize January 17-21 as Constitutional Officers Week in Loudoun with a proclamation at the Board’s next business meeting January 18. Under Loudoun County’s form of government, there are five elected constitutional officers:

  • Clerk of the Circuit Court - Gary M. Clemens
  • Commissioner of the Revenue - Robert S. Wertz Jr.
  • Commonwealth’s Attorney - Buta Biberaj
  • Sheriff - Michael L. Chapman
  • Treasurer - H. Roger Zurn Jr.

January is National Blood Donor Month and local blood supplies are critically low. Loudoun’s constitutional officers encourage everyone to give the gift of life and assist with meeting local community needs.

More information about the services provided by Loudoun’s constitutional officers may be found at loudoun.gov/constitutionalofficers.
