[ARCHIVED] Teen Performers Sought for Loudoun's Battle of Bands

The 2022 Loudoun Battle of the Bands is open to middle and high school students, including soloists, vocalists, instrumentalists and DJs/producers. The competition is a joint venture of the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, Loudoun Youth Inc. and the Loudoun County Youth Advisory Council. Performers interested in competing should apply online at loudoun.gov/teens by Oct. 31, 2022. There is no entry fee.

The annual competition provides a free platform for teen musicians to play for a live audience with professional sound mixing and constructive criticism by a panel of industry professionals serving as judges.  At least 71% of performers in ensemble acts must be in middle or high school.  At least 25% of performers in ensemble acts must be Loudoun County residents. Students younger than 11 or older than 19 will not be permitted to compete.

  • Battle # 1 -  Friday, December 16, 2022, Cascades Overlook Event Center in Sterling 
  • Battle # 2 –  Friday, January 27, 2023, Cascades Overlook Event Center in Sterling 
  • Battle # 3 – Friday, February 24, 2023, Cascades Overlook Event Center in Sterling
  • Final Battle – Friday, March 24, 2023, Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg
