On Saturday, October 1, 2022, the Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office (LCFR-FMO) arrested Sean Christopher Palazzo and charged him with arson of personal property for a vehicle fire in Aldie.
At 6:40 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022, the Loudoun County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from a passerby reporting a vehicle on fire in the 41100 block of John Mosby Highway in Aldie. Fire and rescue crews located the vehicle and confirmed that the fire was fully extinguished. The fire was extinguished prior to fire and rescue units arrival.
The LCFR-FMO arrived on scene and performed a fire origin and cause investigation. The LCFR-FMO located Sean Christopher Palazzo, who was identified as being involved in the incident. Palazzo was taken into custody, transported to the magistrate’s office, and charged with a class 4 felony arson of personal property per Code of Virginia § 18.2-81 for the burning or destroying of personal property valued over $1,000. Mr. Palazzo is currently being held at the adult detention center in Leesburg.
