“Creating Community Through People Parks and Programs”
What measures has PRCS taken to provide a safe experience for customers and staff during COVID 19?
PRCS has consistently followed the guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Virginia Department of Health and the Loudoun County Health Department to help prevent the spread of disease during the pandemic. Practices that are in place to help ensure the safety of staff and customers include enhanced cleaning of rooms and equipment, hand sanitizer stations, face coverings worn by staff, customers and class/program participants, and social distancing during interactions between customers and staff, staff and class/program participants and between class/program participants. Additional measures include parental COVID-19 screening questions and temperature checks for children’s programs, reinforcement of hand-washing and other safety protocols and the use of safety signs and floor stickers, including signs and stickers designed for younger ages. Parent handbooks include information about current safety practices, as well. How does PRCS enrich our community in Loudoun? The PRCS team prides itself on creating a spirit of community through its people, parks and programs. The department’s history of a commitment to excellence has resulted in a diverse recreational and supportive community that Loudoun residents and businesses enjoy today. PRCS is undertaking the strategic master planning process to create an environment for providing exceptional facilities, recreational opportunities and community services that enhance the health and well-being of Loudoun’s residents for years to come.
What types of career opportunities are currently available at PRCS? PRCS is currently offering full-time, part-time, temporary and seasonal positions. Positions include child care, facility supervisors and maintenance, aquatic positions, instructors, and positions serving our senior community. Administrative and managerial positions are also available. Employment with PRCS presents various opportunities for professional enhancement and growth while providing excellent services to our community. Benefits vary by position. Online registration is available at loudoun.gov/webtrac. Once a household account and password are created, registrants can search for activities by type, date, location and age of participant. On-site registration can be conducted at PRCS centers and the PRCS administrative office. Hours vary by location and face coverings are required.

Positions Now Available in Distance Learning Child Care Program with PRCS
PRCS is hiring aides, leaders and supervisors for a new child care program for children in Grades K-6 who are distance learning. Job opportunities are available at locations throughout the county. Hours for Aides and Leaders: 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Hours for Supervisors: 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Hourly wages range from $17.82 to $21.50.

Limited self-directed job search services are offered and appointments are required for these specific in-person services. Customers are encouraged to continue using our virtual services whenever possible. Face coverings are required for in-person appointments. If you do not have a face covering, one will be provided to you. To request an appointment, please call 703-777-0150 (select option #1).
In-person Services Available Access to computer stations for self-directed job search, resume writing software, and pre-employment testing. Use of office equipment for employment purposes; i.e. printer, copier, fax machine, etc. Meeting room reservation to participate in a virtual job interview.
