Description
The Loudoun County Advisory Commission on Youth (ACOY) serves as a conduit for the Loudoun County youth community by 1) assessing youth needs, 2) advising and making recommendations to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors regarding youth programs, issues, opportunities and priorities, 3) fostering collaboration among all stakeholders, and 4) by encouraging changes in law, policy and procedures that will improve conditions for wholesome youth development.

Composition
The Advisory Commission on Youth (ACOY) consists of nine representatives appointed by the Board of Supervisors to represent their respective districts, two youth representatives from the Youth Advisory Council, as well as three community representatives. Liaisons from local government agencies and the public schools also participate.
