Support Homeless Pets
Your contributions make a positive difference in the lives of homeless pets! By giving to Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS) or the Friends of LCAS, you will help enrich the lives of homeless pets and help LCAS find adoptive homes for pets in need.
Become a donor by giving financially or providing supplies to enrich the lives of shelter pets as they wait for caring homes. LCAS is a 170c organization (the government equivalent of a 501c3); your donations to LCAS are tax deductible!
Use the tabs below to view different ways you can support homeless pets at LCAS.
As we pack and prepare to move, we will stop accepting donations on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Once we have moved to our new facility in Leesburg, we will be able to accept donations again. Thank you for thinking of us and the animals at the shelter.
-Please consider giving expired or opened food bags to wildlife rehabilitation centers like the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center.
-Consider reaching out to your local vet, animal hospital or thrift store to see if they need/can take other pet items, linens etc.
-Try posting on social media and in local community groups! People who foster animals from home might be able to use your items for their fosters.
Become a Donor at the Click of a Button!
It is a simple as a click of the button through the Friends of Loudoun County Animal Services. This 501c3 organization is an official partner with LCAS and the funds they collect will directly benefit shelter pets in a number of ways including, but not limited to: medical procedures, purchasing supplies, training for pets and staff, and sponsoring adoption fees.
Give a Financial Gift in Person at the LCAS Animal Shelter!
You may give directly to LCAS by making an in-person donation at the animal shelter (cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted) or by mailing a check to 39820 Charles Town Pike, Waterford, VA, 20197. Please make checks payable to the County of Loudoun with "Animal Program Trust Fund" in the memo line. The Animal Program Trust Fund is used to purchase supplies that directly benefit the pets but that are not provided for in the government operating budget.
Give a Place in Your Home: Foster!
Maybe you can't give a lifetime home to a pet right now. You may be traveling too much for your job or you just aren't ready for a lengthy commitment. If you can commit to two weeks, fostering is a great way to enjoy having a pet without the long term commitment. Interested? Learn more about fostering!
Give Your Time & Expertise: Volunteer!
Make an immediate and positive difference in the lives of shelter pets though our volunteer program. From working with shelter pets to helping create social media content for marketing pets. We have a number of ways you can volunteer your time! Please note: to volunteer directly with shelter pets you must be able to commit to two hours of service each week for 6 months. Volunteers who work with shelter pets will go through an orientation and 8 hours of training with the species of their choice. Learn more about volunteering!
