The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors issued a resolution on January 16, 2024, proclaiming the week of January 15, 2024 as Constitutional Officer Week in Loudoun County.   To learn more about the vital and valuable duties of your constitutional officers, please read the information below that outlines some of the numerous responsibilities of these offices and the critical services offered to residents of Loudoun County.

Clerk of the Circuit Court

The Clerk of the Circuit Court serves as the recorder of deeds and probate judge, issues marriage licenses and is the official court administrator for all civil and criminal court cases. In this latter capacity, the Clerk creates and maintains all court files and records, prepares court orders and jury lists, contacts jurors and issues summons and court processes.
