PURPOSE OF NOTICE: To seek public comment and announce a public hearing on a draft permit from the Department of Environmental Quality regarding the Loudoun County Solid Waste Management Facility in Loudoun County, Virginia. PERMIT APPLICANT: County of Loudoun, Department of General Services, Division of Waste Management. FACILITY NAME AND LOCATION: Loudoun County Solid Waste Management Facility (LCSWMF), 21101 Evergreen Mills Road, Leesburg, Virginia 20175. On the west side of State Route 621, approximately 1 mile south of State Route 649. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The County of Loudoun Department of General Services has applied for a modification to a permit that allows the LCSWMF to operate an existing landfill in Loudoun County, Virginia. The permit documents are available online at: loudoun.gov/DRAFTlandfillpermit and are also available in person in the Loudoun County Government Center lobby.
