E-Filing Civil Court Cases

The Clerk’s Office uses an E-Filing system implemented by the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Virginia Supreme Court. The Virginia Judiciary E-Filing System (VJEFS) is designed for members in good standing with the Virginia State Bar Association.  VJEFS allows attorneys to electronically submit initial pleadings and all subsequent pleadings if the civil case is initiated electronically.   Participants in the E-Filing system can electronically file cases in Loudoun County Circuit Court as well as any other participating circuit courts in Virginia. Attorneys who are registered to E-File in civil cases can submit and track electronically filed pleadings and receive alerts on the status of the electronically transmitted pleadings and other notifications.  Filing fees can be calculated and service of process can be requested using the E-Filing portal when a case is initiated electronically.  Virginia Judiciary E-Filing System (VJEFS) has more information on participating circuit courts, the registration process, and instructions on how to use this efficient online service. If you’re ready to register your firm, simply fill out a Registration Application (PDF) and submit it electronically.

Visit our LOCRA page for more information related to the subscription process, fees, and the information available.
