[ARCHIVED] Comedy Weekend at Franklin Park Arts Center

Franklin Park Arts Center announces a weekend of comedy! "Last Ham Standing," a group of comedians who take suggestions from the audience to create wacky scenes and funny improv games, performs Friday, Nov. 8, at 8:00 p.m. Admission is $12/adults, $10/students, and $8/children. On Saturday, Nov. 9, the nationally-acclaimed "Capitol Steps" perform at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Formed in 1981, when staffers for Senator Charles Percy were planning entertainment for a Christmas party, current members of the troupe represent 62 years of collective House & Senate staff experience. The Capitol Steps have recorded over 30 albums, including their latest, Fiscal Shades of Gray. They've been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard on NPR. Admission is $45/person. Call 540-338-7973 for more information.
