Aerial Photography

The county has flown high resolution aerial photographs since 1979.  These photographs are used to update the base map with new construction, roads, topography, and other features.  This serves as the foundation for all of the county’s digital data layers.

Viewing Aerial Imagery

The original aerial photographs are available for viewing at the office.

Digital imagery of Loudoun County from 2002-present and historic scans can be viewed in the online Aerial Archive, with or without current base layers.

The most current raster imagery may be purchased as a MrSID format using the Standard Digital Data Order Form or in-person at the office.
