Historical Zoning Ordinance References
On December 13, 2023, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance, which replaces the previous Revised 1993 Zoning Ordinance. The effective date of the new Zoning Ordinance is December 13, 2023.
Grandfathered administrative and legislative applications may continue to be processed to approval under the previous Revised 1993 Zoning Ordinance.
The Loudoun County 1972 Zoning Ordinance continues to provide regulations for any commercially and industrially zoned property located in the Route 28 Tax District that was administered under the 1972 Zoning Ordinance prior to December 13, 2023.
Otherwise, all unincorporated property in the county is now administered under the new Zoning Ordinance, subject to any vested or other statutory rights.
