As the seasons shift, it's time to prepare your home for changing weather. Heating and cooling are major energy consumers, so now is a great time to weatherize your home to save time, money and be more sustainable. Weatherizing reduces the energy we use to make our homes more comfortable by improving moisture control, air sealing, ventilation, and upgrades to insulation, doors and windows.
There are several programs, rebates and incentives that Loudoun County residents can take advantage of to upgrade their homes, improve comfort and save energy and money.
As part of the Loudoun County Energy Strategy adopted by the Board of Supervisors in April 2023, the Loudoun County Government supports efforts to create a community that uses less energy and has lower greenhouse gas emissions while ensuring that energy is clean, reliable and affordable for residents and businesses in the county.
