The competition pool at Loudoun County’s Claude Moore Recreation Center is closed until further notice in order to drain, clean and refill the pool following a light fixture incident. One of the overhead light fixtures came unhinged from its mount, fell to the ground, and shattered.
In order to ensure the public’s safety, debris will be removed from the pool and surrounding areas and the security of all fixtures will be assessed.
Once a date is set for the pool to re-open, it will be posted on the Loudoun County website at www.loudoun.gov/claudemoorerec .
