Beginning Monday, April 17, 2023, Loudoun County will close a segment of Metro Center Drive between Devin Shafron Drive and Moorefield Boulevard in Ashburn for approximately one week to allow for repairs to the roadway. This segment of Metro Center Drive is located south of the Ashburn Metrorail Station, providing access to the east and west sides of the Dulles Greenway toll road.
Work is scheduled to begin Monday, April 17, at 7:00 a.m. and continue until Friday, April 21, at 4:30 p.m. If inclement weather delays construction, plans call for work to continue each successive workday following April 21, until the repairs can be completed.
During the closure, through-traffic between the east and west sides of the Dulles Greenway will be detoured to Ashburn Village Boulevard or Loudoun County Parkway.
Drivers and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through these areas and follow all directions from the posted signs and road crews.
