The Loudoun County Health Department is resuming in-person services for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program by appointment in a phased approach, beginning this week. The WIC office had been closed to in-person services during the pandemic. Additionally, the county has opened a second office, located in Leesburg, providing options in both Ashburn and Leesburg.
WIC is a supplemental food program that offers nutritional counseling and education to pregnant or lactating women, infants, and children five years old and younger who meet income, medical and/or nutritional eligibility requirements.
Locations and Hours
The two WIC offices are located at:
- 50 Sycolin Road, Leesburg
- 45201 Research Place, Suite 120, Ashburn
Virtual WIC services are available by appointment at the two offices as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The Loudoun County Health Department will resume in-person WIC services by appointment in a phased approach as follows:
- Now through June 27: Open for select in-person services on Tuesdays. (Note: The Health Department will be closed Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.)
- July 6: Expand to additional in-person services on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- August 9: Full services available in-person Monday-Thursday.
- Fridays will be reserved for virtual appointments.
