The Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System is releasing updated information on the Celebration of Life for Firefighter Trevor Brown, which is scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg (650 Battlefield Parkway SE, Leesburg, VA, 20175).
Event organizers are anticipating a very large event with more than 3,000 guests, along with fire and rescue apparatus from across the region. Members of the public who are considering attending the celebration of life should consider the following:
- Parking at Cornerstone Chapel will be extremely limited. Attendees should park at Segra Field (42095 Loudoun United Drive, Leesburg, VA 20175) and utilize the shuttle service to the chapel. The shuttle service will begin at 7:30 a.m. and passengers will be picked up at the bus shelters located on Loudoun United Drive, in front of Segra Field.

- Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to ensure sufficient time to get to Cornerstone Chapel before the procession arrival and honor guard activities commence at approximately 9:30 a.m.
- Local area traffic will be impacted throughout the day. Due to the solemn nature of this event and to ensure the safety and respect of all involved, motorists are urged to plan ahead and use alternate routes. Those in the area of Cornerstone Chapel, 650 Battlefield Parkway, SE, Leesburg, should expect significant traffic disruptions on Monday, March 4, 2024, beginning at 6:00 a.m. and lasting until approximately 3:00 p.m.
