The Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System is pleased to announce that the newly constructed Sterling Park Public Safety Center will officially open for operations at 6:00 p.m. on October 11, 2023.

The Sterling Park Safety Center is located at 104 Commerce Street in Sterling, Virginia, 20164, and replaces the original 8,800 sq. foot fire and rescue station that was built in 1970. The Sterling Park Safety Center will be the home of staff and assets from the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company, Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad, and Loudoun County Fire and Rescue. The contact number for the station is 571-258-3711, however always call 911 in an emergency.

The new station features large apparatus bays, bunkroom facilities, kitchen and dining areas, decontamination and laundry facilities, a fitness center, office and conference workspaces and repair shop space. More information about the Sterling Park Safety Center can be found on the official Loudoun County Transportation & Capital Infrastructure project page.

“We are extremely excited to be operating out of this new facility. Not only is the building more efficient in layout and amenities, but it will surely provide health and safety protections for our firefighters that these older buildings were lacking,” stated Chief of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System, Keith Johnson.

Details regarding an official Grand Opening Ceremony for the Sterling Park Safety Center are forthcoming.
