Linear Parks and Trails Update: Volunteer Opportunity April 8

Posted on April 4, 2023 at 12:08 PM by Kraig Troxell

Big things are happening for the Linear Parks and Trails (LPAT) Program!

  • Over the past several months, Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services has brought on new employees specifically dedicated to implementing the LPAT program. One of them is Trails Program Manager Dan Sullivan, who has 15 years of experience in the parks and recreation field, most recently with the Fairfax County Park Authority, where he managed maintenance operations for over 90 parks in the Mclean, Tysons, and Vienna areas. If you have questions or comments about the trails program, send Dan an email.
  • We are offering members of the public an opportunity to meet Dan and help the LPAT program by volunteering to help clear the trail at Evergreen Mills Park on Saturday, April 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. For more information and to register, please visit http://bit.ly/3zkspYx.

 Stay tuned for more updates!

About LPAT: Loudoun County is developing an interconnected, countywide linear parks and trails system. The comprehensive system will provide a variety of functions and benefits, including recreation, alternative transportation, wildlife habitat, water quality protection, flood hazard reduction, aquifer recharge, erosion prevention, property value enhancement, economic development, and scenic beauty.
