Selma Estates Project Update: March 15, 2023

Posted on March 15, 2023 at 2:28 PM by MaryFrances Forcier

As required under a settlement agreement with three Selma Estates property owners, permits for the demolition of the home located at 15727 Trongate Court have been issued, and demolition is expected to begin on Tuesday, March 21.

The project is expected to be completed within four weeks. During this time, consistent with the county’s noise ordinance, project work can only occur between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., although shorter work days are expected. Trongate Court residents may expect some noise and dust, as well as increased truck traffic in the area. Demolition crews will minimize impacts on the surrounding area as much as possible.

At its December 14, 2022, public hearing, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved the establishment of a local Flood Mitigation and Protection Grant Program. The adoption of a new chapter of the Codified Ordinances (Chapter 1099) enables the county to provide grant funding for property owners in Selma Estates for flood mitigation and protection projects that meet program eligibility requirements. Owners of properties in Selma Estates that are eligible for this program will be receiving application materials directly from the county.
