Paving to Begin in Downtown Leesburg on June 12

Posted on June 9, 2023 at 2:13 PM by Heidi Kellum

As part of the Courthouse Complex Expansion project, construction crews will begin roadway paving from June 12 through June 14, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. On Monday, June 12 and Tuesday, June 13, paving will begin on Slack Lane and Cornwall Streets. Beginning on Wednesday, June 14, construction crews will begin paving North Street between Church Street and Slack Lane. Drivers should expect delays due to intermittent road changes during paving. Drivers are advised to use extra caution when traveling through this area and follow all directions from the posted signs and road crews.

This construction is part of the Loudoun County Courthouse Complex expansion project that includes the design and construction of the new 92,000-square-foot Loudoun County District Courthouse and renovation of existing courts facilities, including new parking facilities.

Visitors to the Loudoun County Courthouse will continue to have access to free parking for standard size vehicles (vehicles under 8’2”) throughout the duration of the Church Street project. The Pennington Garage is located approximately three blocks from the courthouse. View parking details and a map of the shuttle route and walking path in this flyer (PDF).
