Construction crews will be removing the fire hydrant at the corner of Church Street and Market Street and installing a new fire hydrant at the corner of Edwards Ferry Road and Church streets from 7:00 a.m. until late afternoon on Saturday, September 16, 2023, weather permitting. One lane of traffic will remain open while this work occurs. Drivers should use extra caution when traveling through this area and follow all directions from the posted signs and road crews.
This construction is part of the Loudoun County Courthouse Complex expansion project that includes the design and construction of the new 92,000-square-foot Loudoun County District Courthouse and renovation of existing courts facilities, including new parking facilities.
Visitors to the Loudoun County Courthouse will continue to have access to free parking throughout the duration of the project at the Pennington Lot and Pennington Garage which are located approximately two blocks from the courthouse near the intersection of Church and North Streets, NE.
