The design phase for the Evergreen Mills Road Realignment project is nearing completion with stakeholder reviews of the final 100% design plans currently underway. Following reviews and final revision work, the design is anticipated for completion in late spring (April, May, June) 2024. Land acquisition activities will begin following the completion of the design phase.
The Utility Relocations phase is also underway with crews completing gas utility work at the end of 2023. This phase is estimated to continue until spring 2025 while remaining utilities are relocated in advance of project construction. About the Project
This project provides for the planning, design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction of the realignment of Evergreen Mills Road at the intersections of Reservoir Road and Watson Road. The improvements propose a new four-way signalized intersection between Evergreen Mills Road, Watson Road and Reservoir Road.
This project is an existing Capital Improvement Program (CIP) project that was also identified as a long-term recommendation in the Evergreen Mills Road Safety Audit and Improvements completed in 2019.
