Loudoun County Update

• Free COVID-19 Testing Continues: Loudoun County’s schedule for free drive-thru COVID-19 testing events now shifts to one day a week. From March 30 - April 27, 2021, testing events will be held every Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at various locations around the county. The March 30 testing event will be held at Franklin Park, 17501 Franklin Park Drive, Purcellville. 
  • Fill out forms in advance: To help reduce wait times, people who plan to attend the testing events are strongly encouraged to complete a registration form for each person who will be receiving a test prior to arriving at the testing site. The registration form is required and asks for general demographics and contact information, including name, date of birth, address, phone number and current symptoms, if any. The forms are available at loudoun.gov/COVID19testing along with the complete schedule of events. 
• When You've Been Fully Vaccinated: If it has been 2 weeks since your final COVID-19 vaccine, you are fully vaccinated. This means you can have small, unmasked gatherings with others who are fully vaccinated or with one low-risk unvaccinated household. But even after you have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you should keep taking precautions in public places, such as: 
  • Wearing a mask that covers your nose and mouth to help protect yourself and others.
  • Staying 6 feet apart from others who don’t live with you.
  • Avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces.
  • Washing your hands often with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available.
  • Read more guidance from the Virginia Department of Health.
• Feeling Isolated? If you're feeling isolated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please know that you are not alone. Call or text the VA COPES warmline seven days a week at 877-349-6428 to talk to a professional crisis counselor. Common COVID-19 issues are loneliness, fear of uncertainty, old grief returning, anxiety about health or infection, workplace or financial stress, sleep trouble, drinking more alcohol/using prescription medications more than usual. The service is free and open to all individuals in Virginia.
