In the last several weeks, crews working on the Waterford Mill Stabilization Project in the Village of Waterford completed attic floor repairs and painted the building’s roof and dormers. Interior and exterior masonry work continues, including repairs to the water wheel pit and first floor. In the coming weeks, crews will continue interior carpentry work and repairs to the windows and sashes throughout the building. Reconstruction of the historic Hurst Frame is ongoing at an offsite location.
This project provides for the structural stabilization of the Waterford Mill and the addition of accessibility features to allow the use of the mill for educational and cultural enrichment programs. Construction is estimated to be complete in summer 2023.
