Loudoun Holding Comment Period on Limited Access Control Change for Crosstrail Boulevard Segment C

Posted on March 17, 2022 at 1:09 PM by Heidi Kellum

Loudoun County is hosting an online comment period to gain input from the public on proposed changes to limited access control on Route 267/Dulles Greenway that will result from the extension of Crosstrail Boulevard from Sycolin Road to the Dulles Greenway. The change in limited access control will be required near the Dulles Greenway interchange ramps at Route 653/Shreve Mill Road.

The comment period is open through March 30, 2022, to allow members of the public to watch a presentation and provide input about the changes. To watch a recorded presentation and submit a comment, visit the project page at loudoun.gov/crosstrailsegmentc.

The configuration of the break/opening in limited access control must be adjusted to accommodate the planned extension of Crosstrail Boulevard from Sycolin Road to the Dulles Greenway and to close access to Shreve Mill Road between the Dulles Greenway and Sycolin Road.

The Crosstrail Boulevard Extension project provides for the design and the construction of a new four-lane, median-divided road between Sycolin Road and the Dulles Greenway interchange. The length of this project is approximately 2,700 linear feet. It includes a four-span bridge over the south tributary to Sycolin Creek and shared-use paths on both sides of the new road. Funding for this project is from the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority and local funds.
