Construction is progressing on the New Lovettsville Community Center and pool house renovations. The center is currently under construction in the Town of Lovettsville at the site of the old community center building. Crews have completed installing masonry walls, exterior brick, roofing and structural steel over the gymnasium side of the community center building. In the coming weeks, crews will continue the installation of the windows and doors to make the building weather tight. Start up and testing of the mechanical systems is ongoing.
At the pool house, structural renovations are complete and work to install roofing and interior finishes continues. Construction is currently estimated for completion by fall 2022, weather permitting.
The new community center will be over 15,000 square feet and will have a full-size gymnasium, five classrooms, a multipurpose room, a kitchen, administrative offices, meeting space and storage areas. The project also includes a 600-square-foot addition and renovation to the existing 1,200-square-foot Pool House.
