Loudoun County, VA – A Dominion High School student is in custody after he assaulted a Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. when a member of the school’s administrative staff was attempting to have the student go to the office from the school’s cafeteria. The student refused multiple times and assaulted the staff member.
At this time, the LCSO deputy assigned to the school approached the student and attempted to calm him down. The student then turned and assaulted the deputy who defended himself while taking the student into custody.
The deputy was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The student refused medical treatment and was transported to the Loudoun Juvenile Detention Center. Juvenile petitions are pending.
