Loudoun County, VA- Two Annandale men are in custody and seven pounds of marijuana were recovered after a joint investigation between the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS).
A package being shipped from California was scheduled to be delivered through the U.S. Mail, to a residence in Fairfax County, was identified as containing suspected marijuana by Postal Inspectors. The package was located at a local mail facility, and two suspects arrived on March 12 to retrieve the package after tracking the package to the mail facility in Ashburn.
The suspects, Warsame A. Ali, 22, and Daud H. Jabril, 23, were both taken into custody by members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Special Operations Section, in coordination with the LCSO Tactical Enforcement Unit and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
Ali and Jabril are both charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to distribute over five pounds of marijuana. Both men remain held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
