Loudoun County, VA (April 28, 2023) – Members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) were recognized for heroism at the annual Loudoun Valor Awards.
For 38 years, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce has sponsored the Valor Awards to recognize heroic achievements by first responders and, more recently, private citizens. Yesterday’s ceremony included presentations to 188 individuals for their acts of heroism at 28 incidents.
“I am enormously proud of the dedicated men and women of LCSO, and the particular achievement of this year’s Valor Award recipients,” said Sheriff Mike Chapman, who presented the awards to LCSO personnel.
LCSO’s recipients were as follows:
Certificate of Valor: Sergeant Jeff Cichocki and Deputy First Class Michael Grant
Bronze Medal of Valor: Deputy Patrick Brick, Sergeant Jeff Cichocki, Deputy First Class Michael Grant, Deputy First Class DFC Brady Mullis, Deputy Justin Walsh, and Master Deputy Todd Wilson
Lifesaving Award: Dispatcher Kevin Aliventi, Deputy First Class Marissa Altobelli, Deputy First Class Joshua Colborn, Deputy First Class Zachary Gardner, Master Deputy J.F. Hacay, Deputy First Class Josiah Kennedy, Deputy First Class Stewart Marcantel, Deputy First Class Adam MacDonald, Deputy First Class Brady Mullis, Deputy First Class Brandon Noland, Sergeant. Tony Outlaw, Deputy First Class Mark Sarrichio, Detective Ryan Schmidt, Deputy First Class Evelin Valladares, Deputy First Class Aaron Waskiewixz, and Sergeant Marcus Whitfield

Also recognized at today’s ceremony were members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System, Leesburg Police Department, Virginia State Police, Purcellville Police Department, Department of Natural Resources Police, and 28 civilians.
