Loudoun County, VA (August 7, 2023) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcyclist in Sterling.
On Saturday, August 5 at 9:55 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Corkwood Drive and Cascades Parkway in Sterling, for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle, Joshua Desmond, 43, of Sterling, was transported to a local area hospital and was pronounced deceased on Sunday, August 6.
The driver of the passenger vehicle remained on the scene. The speed of the motorcycle is believed to be a factor in the crash.
