Loudoun County, VA (April 18, 2024) – Members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) were recognized today at the 39th Annual Loudoun County Valor Awards presented by the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce at the National Conference Center in Leesburg.
The Valor Awards recognize heroic achievements by first responders who go “above and beyond the call of duty” as well as civilians who stepped in to assist others in their time of need. This year’s ceremony included presentations to 117 individuals for their acts of heroism last year.
“We are grateful to the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce for its longstanding commitment in recognizing the heroic acts and selflessness of our first responders, as well as the members of our community who stepped up to take action,” said Sheriff Mike Chapman, who presented the awards to members of the LCSO. “I’m especially proud of our Sheriff’s Office employees who were honored this year. It is a privilege for me to work alongside them.”

Also recognized at today’s ceremony were members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System, Virginia State Police, Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority, and 35 civilians.
