Loudoun County, VA – A Springfield man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting incident this morning in Sterling.
Mike Truong, 22, was charged with attempted murder, two counts of shooting at an occupied dwelling, and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Deputies from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Sugarland Square Court in Sterling around 1:55 a.m. on July 25th, 2019, for a report of gunfire. The victim reported that a male subject who was known to her was shooting at her house while she and five other people were inside. After discharging multiple shots, which penetrated two residences, the suspect fled from the area in a vehicle. No injuries were reported in the incident
Responding deputies located the vehicle in the area of Route 7 near Dranesville Road and conducted a traffic stop.
Truong was taken into custody without further incident. A firearm was located in the vehicle.
Truong remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
