Loudoun County, VA (December 11, 2023) – Today, eleven new Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Deputies graduated from the 149th Session of the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy (NVCJTA).
Please help us welcome Deputies Frank Bryan, Daehee Cho, Shawntel Cooper, Hugh Gardiner, John Harvey, Henry Hill, Jennifer Itani, Jonathan Norris, Melissa Nuar, Brandon Panitz, and Dennis Stoika.
Deputy John Harvey was elected as the Class President and received the Firearms Excellence Award. Deputy Jonathan Norris was elected as Class Vice President.
Master Deputy Erick Ambroise, an academy instructor since September 2022, received the David Vice Award which is presented to an outstanding academy staff member.

The graduation ceremony was held at Christian Fellowship Church in Ashburn. Participating agencies with Session 149 of the NVCJTA graduates include City of Alexandria Police Department, City of Alexandria Sheriff’s Office, Arlington County Police Department, Arlington County Sheriff’s Office, City of Fairfax Police Department, City of Falls Church Police Department, George Mason University Police Department, Town of Leesburg Police Department, City of Manassas Police Department, Metro Transit Authority Police Department, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department, and the Northern Virginia Community College Police Department.
